After the operation patients are required to wear a compression garment for up to 6 weeks, to help with healing. In most cases normal activities can be resumed within 7-14 days, but strenuous activity should be avoided for several weeks. Patients should adhere to the post-operative instructions of their plastic surgeon, in order to achieve optimal results after liposuction.
