What Is the Recovery Process Like With Halo?

Has your skin lost its youthful glow? The Halo hybrid fractional laser can restore a luminous complexion, and treat visible signs of aging. Laser skin rejuvenation treatments that offer great results typically require a long healing time. But what is the recovery process like with Halo.

What is the Halo laser?

The Halo hybrid fractional laser is a unique technology that incorporates both ablative and non-ablative wavelengths to treat the skin. The dual wavelength technology makes it very efficient, as it is able to target surface issues and deeper issues at the same time.

What can the Halo treat?

The Halo can treat a range of skin issues including enlarged pores, sun damage, discoloration, uneven skin tone, acne scars, and fine lines.

What Is the Recovery Process Like With Halo?

There is little to no recovery time with the Halo laser. Ablative lasers have traditionally required 1-2 weeks of recovery, but since the Halo laser leaves the surface of the skin largely intact, there is minimal downtime.

The intensity of the Halo treatment can be customized to suit the unique needs of each patient, so the recovery time will vary based on the depth of penetration of the laser energy.

Some swelling and redness is common after Halo treatment, and this can take 1-3 days to resolve. The skin will begin to flake and peel after about 3 days, and new fresh cells will emerge. During healing sunscreen must be worn to protect the skin from the UV rays of the sun.
